Chenise Calhoun is a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Youth Development sector, currently serving in Morocco. She earned her BA in French Literature and International Studies from Towson University, where she was an honors student. Her academic interests include globalization, migration, colonialism, and African/African American studies.
Kevin Cataldo is a first-year third grade language arts and social studies teacher at Luis Muñoz Marín School in Newark, New Jersey. He earned his BA in Education and English from Felician University, where he was an honors student. Kevin is also currently an MA candidate at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Alina M. Chemini is an integrated masters of Engineering Management student at Robert Morris University, where she also works as an engineering intern for a laser welding project and a Graduate Assistant at the RISE Center. She earned her BS in Engineering with concentrations in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering as an honors student from Robert Morris University.
Kyle Dineen is a graduate of Frederick Community College, currently majoring in kinesiology at the University of Maryland, College Park on a full-tuition scholarship. At FCC, he served as the Student Government Association President, student liaison to the Maryland Higher Education Commission’s Student Advisory Council, and was a student leader in the Honors Student Association. He earned distinction as the 2019 Maryland State New Century Scholar and received the John and Edythe Portz Outstanding Honors Student Award by the Maryland Collegiate Honors Council. An explorer at heart, his hobbies include research, travel, community involvement, and physical activity.
AnnaMaria F. Leal is a student at St. Francis College. She is majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Spanish and Women & Gender Studies. She is a member of the swimming and diving team as well as a thrower on the track and field team. She is also a member of the honors program, the vice-president of her school's chapter of SAAC, a junior senator and coordinator of the community service committee for her school's Student Government Association, and the founder and second year president for the Photography Club, to name a few things.
Madison MacDougall is a sophomore at Salisbury University where she is double majoring in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science. She is also a member of SU's Honors College and recently joined a research lab studying the neurodegenerative aspects of diabetic peripheral neuropathy using zebrafish as a model.
Juanita Meunier is a sophomore student at the Community College of Rhode Island, where she will be an honors program graduate in spring 2020 with an AS in Finance and an AA in General Studies. She is the VP of Leadership for the Pi Omicron chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, a leader of the CCRI-Knight Campus DECA chapter, and a participant in the CCRI Emerging Leaders Program. She was named a 2019 scholar with Kappa Beta Delta Business Honors Society.
Christina Scourlas is a full-time Registered Nurse in the Radiology department at Crystal Run Healthcare. She earned her Associates degree in nursing from SUNY Orange (Orange County Community College), where she was an honors student. She is currently enrolled full-time at SUNY Plattsburgh online in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, and aspires to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Her hobbies include exercise, camping, hiking, and cooking healthy meals!
Kyle D. Souza was a member of the Dominican College Honors Program and graduated number one in his class in May 2019. He earned his BA in Criminal Justice with minors in Philosophy and Sociology. He is currently pursuing his Juris Doctorate at Quinnipiac University School of Law. Mr. Souza is very interested in presidential elections. This interest led him to conduct the study in this edition.
