Rosalie Anthony

Rosalie Anthony is currently attending Point Park University earning her Dance- B.F.A degree, Ballet concentration, with a minor in French. A few organizations she is a part of at Point Park are the Honors Program, Honors Student Organization, Dance Club, Pioneer Ambassador program, The Globe, and Point Closet. Previously, she attended and graduated from the Alabama School of Fine Arts in dance. She is passionate about learning, teaching, and mentoring. Her dream job is to join a professional dance company after college and eventually teach in higher education. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, chatting with friends, and discovering new places.

Prachi Bhandutia

Prachi Bhandutia is an international student from India, studies creative writing and philosophy at the University of Hartford, Connecticut. In addition to being an honors student at Uhart, she has edited and published in the university’s literary magazine, Aerie (Vol 25, 2020). Her poetry collection appears in the 2019 winter issue of Verse of Silence. She is also the winner of the Phyllis Award for short fiction (2019) and Nieditz Award for transcendental poetry (2020) in Uhart’s annual writing contest.

Nicholas Bykov

Nicholas Bykov is a political science major and psychology minor at Ramapo College of New

Jersey. He serves as a member of the Honors Program executive board, as well as the Senate

Vice President of the Student Government Association.

Amelia Chumney

Amelia Chumney is a third-year psychology and criminal justice major at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a member of her university's Honors Academy and of the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society. After earning her BAs, she anticipates attending a graduate program and aspires to work internationally.

Maeve Conlon

Maeve Conlon is a senior at St. Francis College. She is pursuing a degree in Adolescent Education with a concentration in History. She thoroughly enjoys photography, and her favorite subjects to shoot would be nature and landscapes.

Jernessa Cruickshank is a student at SUNY Old Westbury. Her creative piece "Transformation" is featured in this year's edition of the journal.

Mabintou Darboe

Mabintou Darboe recently graduated (in May) from the University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She is currently getting her master’s degree in public health from the University of New Haven. She intends to pursue a medical degree after completing her MPH degree. She is overly passionate about improving the healthcare system of her home country, The Gambia, and other developing countries alike. Apart from her educational endeavors and goals to provide quality and accessible healthcare to developing countries, she also aspires to provide free education to girls in her home country as well as other underprivileged youths. She also considers herself an advocate for women and young girls who experience violence.

Catherine Dougherty

Catherine Dougherty attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree

in Biology with a concentration in Ecological and Environmental Science and minors in

Chemistry and Spanish. Through a combined-degree program she also earned her Master of Arts

in Teaching in Secondary Education focusing on biological sciences. Today she is a high school

Allied Health/Biology teacher and is piloting a 4-year Allied Health Academy in partnership

with Chilton Medical Center and Rutgers University.

Sarah Dougherty 

Sarah Dougherty is an honors student at Fairleigh Dickinson University where she is studying biology. She is also a member of the collegiate swim team at FDU. Sarah loves to read and write, but also has a passion for science and sustainability. Sarah hopes to attend graduate school to become a science researcher or doctor.

Michael Ducker

Michael Ducker is a recent graduate of Adelphi University. There, he studied English literature and was part of the Adelphi Honors College. His academic interests include post-war American fiction, speculative fiction, the works of James Joyce, ecocriticism, and critical theory. He currently works as a freelance writer and editor.

Lauren Fenner is an honors student at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She is earning her BAs in History and International Studies with minors in English and Women and Gender Studies. She is a member of the Phi Alpha Theta and the treasurer of the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania Council of Social Studies.

Amanda Hall

Amanda Hall is a recent graduate from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, where she received her BA in English Literature and Writing.  While at Lock Haven, Amanda was deeply involved in the Global Honors Program, Lock Haven University’s English Club, and the campus’ literary journal, The Crucible.  Amanda was the 2019 and 2020 recipient of the Isabel Miller Award for Creative Writing.

Sapphire Hilton is a honors student at Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY. She serves as the President of the Honors Student Association. She is a senior pursing a BA in criminal justice with minors in psychology and pre-law.

Allison Hritz

Allison Hritz is a senior Secondary Social Studies Education major and honors student at Point Park University. She is a mentor, ministry leader, and does advocacy work for Title IX and Inclusive practices on campus.

Brianna Johnson

Brianna Johnson is a rising senior with a major in Data Science and a double minor in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth. She is the current Student Director of the Honors College and has served as a Mathematics tutor for the past three years.

Molly Lea is currently a junior student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County pursuing a BA in History. She recently graduated from Howard Community College with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies, where she was an honors student in the James W. Rouse Scholars Program.

AnnaMaria Leal

AnnaMaria Leal is a 1st year masters student at St. Francis College. She is completing a BA/MA in Applied Behavioral Psychology and is double minoring in Spanish and Women & Gender Studies. She is a member of the swimming and diving team as well as a thrower on the track and field team. She is also a member of the honors program, the Vice President of her school's Psi Chi International Honors Society, a 4th year Senator and Speaker of the Senate for her school's Student Government Association, and the founder and third year Co-president for the Photography Club, to name a few things. When not at school AnnaMaria can usually be found doing two of her favorite things, going to concerts and taking photos.

Trisha Mehta

Trisha Mehta is an honors student at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is currently a sophomore enrolled in the accelerated medical program affiliated with Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine and is pursuing her BA in Biology. She earned her EMT certification in 2019 and currently volunteers on her local first aid squad.

Sabrina Moody

Sabrina Moody is a liberal arts history major who just completed her sophomore year at Northampton Community College. Her goal is to become an archaeologist and historian, specializing in Irish history, culture, and mythology. She has presented on various history-related topics as a guest-lecturer for both the language arts and history departments at Northampton Community College.  She is the founder and president of Northampton Community College’s first ever Celtic Culture Club and is a member of the Bethlehem Celtic Cultural Alliance as a part of the Celtic Education Committee. She is also a member of the W.S. Hancock Society, participating in a variety of community events as a living historian.

Grant Mooney 

Grant Mooney is a recent graduate (May 2020) of University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Sustainability. He is the former Student Director of the UMass Dartmouth Honors Program, a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society and a former Reading and Writing Tutor at the Multiliteracy and Communication Center. He is also a recipient of the Gerald Ventura, Jr. Memorial Scholarship, the Jennifer W. Mulnix Service Award, and a two-time winner of the Margaret Mullaney Panos Essay Competition.

Keira Mull

Keira Mull is a recent graduate (May 2020) of Notre Dame of Maryland University, where she received her BS in Biology with a pre-professional concentration. As an undergraduate, she conducted both ecological research abroad in South Korea and biological research at Johns Hopkins. At the 2019 National Collegiate Honors Council Conference in New Orleans, she received first place in environmental sciences for her ecological research presentation on the use of environmental DNA as an effective monitoring tool for the endangered fish species, Hangang bitterling. Keira plans to pursue her MD/PhD to merge her desire to be a physician with her new found love of research.

Jessica Peoples

Jessica Peoples is a senior at Stockton University pursuing a Bachelor's and Master's in Criminal Justice with a minor in Global Studies and a concentration in Homeland Security. She is an active member of her student government and Student Director of her Honors Program's Executive Board. In her free time, she enjoys photography, competitive marksmanship, and studying global affairs.

Catherine Pope

Catherine Pope (she/her) is an impassioned advocate and psychology student from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and the founder of the university's first recovery community, dedicated to reaching individuals at all stages of substance abuse. Catherine works as a student voice liaison with SAFE Project, a national non-profit that working through a collaborative, multi-pronged nonpartisan approach to end the nations catastrophic addiction epidemic. She is a member of the American Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) student advisory board, an organization that provide a community, and resources for those in recovery.  As an individual in long-term recovery, and as a survivor of domestic abuse, she works tirelessly to help individuals in both communities. Since early domestic abuse can impact young men and women for the rest of their lives, she provides abuse education to high school students, and teaches them how to have healthier relationships. Catherine is pursuing her law degree, determined to de-stigmatize marginalized communities as a legal advocate.

Amish Regmi recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He was a member of Ramapo’s Honors Program, and now works as a Software Developer.

Janelle Sangalang

Janelle Sangalang is currently a Junior at Notre Dame of Maryland University.  She is pursuing her degree in Biology as a grateful Presidential and Knott Scholarship recipient.  An active member of the campus community, she serves as President of the Class of 2022, Morrissy Honors Program Secretary, Tri-Beta Biological Honors Society class representative, and Filipino-American Association Co-President; Janelle is also part of a research laboratory that studies antimicrobial resistance.  Her favorite community involvement includes teaching at St. Joseph’s Summer Bible School.  This summer will mark her 10th year as a volunteer. Spare time means traveling with family, playing piano, guitar, singing, and tennis.

Jake Simon

Jake Simon recently graduated from William Paterson University with a major in communications (Media Studies), and two minors in Asian Studies Language (Japanese) and Social Science HONORS.  His current academic activities are increasing his skills that include coding, video editing, and animation.  Jake enjoys playing hockey, gaming, and volunteering at a library.

Jacob Snell

Jacob Snell is a graduate of Monroe Community College. He studied English and completed MCC’s honors program. He also presented original, undergraduate research at SUNY’s Scholar’s Day. He is currently taking a gap year before transferring to complete his bachelors in English.

Gabriela Ulloa

Gabriela Ulloa is a recent graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she received her BA in International Studies with a minor in International Business. As an undergraduate, she was a member of Ramapo College's Honors Program and Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program.

Quimby Wechter

Quimby Wechter graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hartford with a BS in Health Science/Pre-Physical Therapy. While completing her degree on a three-year track, she also pursued minors in Biology and Business Management. Quimby served as a senior resident assistant, teaching assistant, and tour guide. She was also a member of the University of Hartford Honors Program and completed her honors research in the Pediatric Balance Lab. Quimby now works at Boston Children’s Hospital in neurology research.

Sarah Wood is a public policy major at the University of Maryland. She served as student editor for her community college’s literary journal, and has presented original research the Maryland Collegiate Honors Conference in the fields of psychology and education.
